	Marieta geeft om het welzijn van kinderen en is ervan overtuigd dat een kind kan leren, als het lekker in zijn vel zit. Dat zie je terug in de onderzoeken waar ze als docent-onderzoeker bij betrokken is. Zo volgt ze voor een flankerend onderzoek naar Samen onderzoekend werken in regionale netwerken (NRO) een onderzoek naar taalontwikkeling en de preventie van laaggeletterdheid in Rotterdam-Zuid. Ook is ze projectleider van een onderzoek naar de meerwaarde van pedagogen in de klas, waarin pedagogen worden geïntroduceerd in basisschoolteams om via interdisciplinaire samenwerking tegemoet te komen aan de ontwikkelingsbehoeften van alle leerlingen.

	Na verschillende stages in binnen- en buitenland werd ze docent Pedagogiek aan HZ University of Applied Sciences. Hier geeft ze verschillende cursussen aan studenten Pedagogiek, begeleidt ze studenten bij hun afstudeeronderzoek en ontwikkelt ze mee aan het curriculum.

	Marieta heeft Pedagogische wetenschappen en Onderwijskunde aan de Radboud Universiteit in Nijmegen gestudeerd en zich extra verdiept in leerproblematiek. Voor meer verdieping en extra uitdaging tijdens de studie heeft ze ook aan de Universiteit van Oulu en de Universiteit van Lapland in Finland gestudeerd.

	Marieta cares about the well-being of children and is convinced that a child can learn if he feels good about himself. This is reflected in the studies she is involved in as a teacher-researcher. For example, for a complementary study into Collaborative Investigative Working in Regional Networks (NRO), she is following a study into language development and the prevention of low literacy in Rotterdam-South. She is also project leader of a study into the added value of pedagogues in the classroom, in which pedagogues are introduced into primary school teams to meet the development needs of all students through interdisciplinary collaboration.

	After various internships at home and abroad, she became a teacher of Pedagogy at HZ University of Applied Sciences. Here she teaches various courses to Pedagogy students, guides students in their graduation research and helps develop the curriculum.
