Andrew Hirst

Profiel:: I am a marine ecologist and much of my work has been on marine zooplankton ecology and physiology. While over the last decade or so, I have used marine organisms more generally, including diverse invertebrates and also fish, to tests general theories of ecology and physiology, as well to understand the impacts of climate warming on in marine systems. Through the Icon 1 Delta Protein project we aim to take a transdisciplinary approach, drawing on the perspectives of stakeholders and individual disciplines, to develop solutions for protein transition in Zeeland and beyond: the shift from animal proteins to proteins from low trophic levels.
