Template:Event 🌿💚 Students, staff, and sustainability enthusiasts came together on October 10th and 11th to celebrate this milestone with workshops, clean-ups, and plenty of good vibes. The celebrations kicked off with a Garden Session in the HZ Student Garden, where volunteers helped maintain the green space while enjoying the fresh air and community spirit. In the afternoon, participants got hands-on in a Bike Repair Workshop and a Cutting Workshop, learning practical skills for a more sustainable lifestyle. To keep the energy up, fresh smoothies were served, and the day ended with a borrel to toast to five years of Green Office impact!
The festivities didn’t stop there! On October 11th, the final SUP Cleanup of the year took place in Middelburg, allowing students to paddle through the canals while collecting waste. As a special Lustrum treat, the cleanup was followed by a picnic with organic drinks and snacks. The Green Office’s anniversary was more than just a celebration—it was a reminder of how far we’ve come in making HZ a greener place.
