- Pádraig Naughton heeft zijn opleiding genoten in zijn geboorteland Ierland. Hij heeft een studie Mechanical Engineering afgerond aan de National University of Ireland en een master Mechanical Engineering behaald aan het Trinity College Dublin. Daarna heeft hij bij tal van grote bedrijven gewerkt. Zo was hij achttien jaar in dienst bij Dow in Terneuzen en iets meer dan vijf jaar bij Alliance Laundry Systems. Sinds 2020 is hij onderzoeker bij de onderzoeksgroep Assetmanagement. Zijn onderzoek focust zich op datagestuurde, op risico’s gebaseerde technieken waarmee je voorspellende onderhoudsmodellen kunt maken. Deze kun je gebruiken om het onderhoud aan assets, zoals bruggen en wegen, te optimaliseren. Pádraig heeft in het bijzonder aandacht voor duurzaamheid en levensduurverlenging. Hij is naar eigen zeggen ‘driven by a passion to innovate’ en wil ideeën omzetten in oplossingen die waarde toevoegen aan organisaties en bedrijven.
