Profiel:: Plant breeder and phycologist working on the development of a high-yielding, high-quality sugar kelp cultivar. As a PhD at NIOZ as part of the NWO-funded From Sea to Society project, I explore the use and potential of global sugar kelp genetic resources to support selective breeding efforts. In doing so, I aim to provide farmers with superior seeding material, improving yields and strengthening the economic viability of seaweed farming.
