Delta Protein

The aim this project is to explore the potential to develop a local blue-green protein sector in Zeeland from an integrative food systems perspective, with regional entrepreneurs and consumers at the center. She specifically aims to investigate (1) what a Theory of Change for a prosperous and vibrant protein sector will look like, (2) the role of consumers in the transition towards such a sector, (3) how entrepreneurs can be supported to participate in this transition, and (4) how interventions can influence the present towards the desired future situation. The results will support the development and implementation of a broader food-vision for the future in which the Zeeuwse delta is a source of healthy, sustainable, tasteful and affordable food from the marine and terrestrial environment, creating realistic earning possibilities for Zeeuwse entrepreneurs.
