About this project

Start date:02/03/2025
Project description:The province of Zeeland actively promotes a healthier food environment for its residents. However, in practice, fast food chains such as McDonald's continue to be welcomed and permitted in local areas. This contrast raises important questions about how government policy aligns with everyday decisions and how effective current measures really are in encouraging healthier food choices. This project invites students to research, analyze, and propose innovative and realistic ways to strengthen Zeeland’s commitment to health, while balancing economic, social, and cultural factors. Insights and recommendations could influence how local communities and governments shape the future food landscape.
