| |Project description=The mission of Het Groene Strand is to protect the beaches in the Netherlands and the local ecosystems related to these areas. Volunteers carry out most of the project. There are several frictions experienced by volunteers participating in different groups; there is a noticeable gap between active and passive volunteers, a need to raise more awareness between beach goers and tourists.
